In my practice an ethic of compassion and empathy of others as an aesthetic motivates me.

 

I strive to call attention to the categorical other-ing in not only art culture but in a larger cultural context.

 

I use textiles as a tool for critique.

 

Speculation of systems of power, exclusion and inclusion, separation and connection sustain my practice.

 

Subversion and humor are integral to my approach.
